How to Choose the Right Size
By Room Type
- Living room — L Landscape (60×40) or XL Landscape (75×50) works above a sofa
- Bedroom — S Square (30×30) or M sizes above nightstands, L or XL above the bed
- Hallway / entryway — M Portrait (30×45) is perfect for narrow spaces
- Office / study — S or M sizes at eye level near your desk
- Dining room — L or XL Landscape as a conversation piece
- Small apartment / studio — XS or S — big impact without dominating
By Wall Space
A general rule: your map should be about 60-75% of the width of the furniture below it (sofa, bed, desk). For example:
- 3-seat sofa (~200 cm wide) → XL Landscape (75×45 cm) or XXL Panorama (45×90 cm)
- Queen bed headboard (~150 cm) → L Landscape (60×40 cm) or XL
- Small desk (~120 cm) → M Landscape (40×30) or L
- Nightstand (~50 cm) → XS or S Square
By Level of Detail
The larger the map, the more detail you can see. For dense cities (New York, London, Tokyo), we recommend at least a M size. For smaller villages or coastal towns, an S or M works beautifully.

Portrait vs Landscape vs Square
Portrait (taller than wide)
Works best in narrow spaces — hallways, between windows, above narrow shelves. Also great for cities with distinct north-south orientation like Manhattan or Paris.
Landscape (wider than tall)
The classic choice for above sofas, beds, and dining tables. Also natural for coastal cities and horizontal city grids.
Square
Balanced and versatile — works anywhere, including gallery walls with mixed art. Ideal for centered focal displays.
Panorama (XXL 45×90)
Our most dramatic size — a true statement piece. Recommended for luxury interiors, high-ceiling living rooms, and installations where the map becomes the centerpiece of the room.
Frame Dimensions
Every frame is 4 cm wide and 2 cm thick. Built-in hanging hardware included. The listed dimensions include the frame — so a 60×40 cm map has an outer frame measuring 60×40 cm exactly.
